Well what about THAT movie??

I look after my baby brother a lot, and something I like to do whilst I play with him is to stick a good movie on the television. Occasionally he will sit on my lap (hardly ever!) and watch with me. This has made me become more aware of the type of content I watch for 'entertainment'. I love movies, and my parents and I generally sit down and watch a movie together after Felix has gone to bed, so in general we have to be careful what to watch. We do not have a TV license, and have not had one for a quite a long time, we just stick with DVDs. We got so sick of secular entertainment where every other word is a curse word and kissing and other inappropriate scenarios that make you cringe. "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8. We must be very careful what we put in front of our eyes in the name of entertainment. We have plenty of movies that we all enjoy watching where we don't have to cringe or look away. I am not saying we have to watch christian movies all the time (although I love them!) but just make sure that the content wold be pleasing to The Lord, just remember He is with you all the time, he watches what you watch and sees what you see.
